Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra, commonly known as Doctor Aphra, is a rogue archaeologist in the Star Wars galaxy. Specializing in forbidden and ancient technologies, her morally ambiguous methods often lead her into trouble with both the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
Aphra first appeared in Darth Vader #3 (2015), published by Marvel Comics. She was initially introduced as a skilled but unscrupulous archaeologist recruited by Darth Vader for her expertise in ancient weapons and droids. Her knowledge of the Force and her ability to decipher ancient languages make her a valuable asset, despite her tendency to prioritize her own interests.
Throughout her adventures, Aphra associates with a variety of dangerous individuals, including the murderous droids BT-1 and 0-0-0. Her stories often involve double-crosses, narrow escapes, and a constant struggle to stay one step ahead of her enemies. While not a Sith or Jedi, she's unafraid to confront both sides of the Force.
